Good to all, my name is Jack, today I bring an interesting topic .Which was the best army of the Second World war?
In my opinion the best army of the Second World war was the Army of the USA and the British army, the prowesses realized by the American Army I surprise greatly, but what more I value, is the British resistance opposite to the German Army, the great resistance and dedication that the British soldiers did for a free and democratic Europe,it is for this motive, that in my opinion for me, the best army of the Second World war was the British Army.
And for you, which was is he the best army of the Second World war?

Also to make matters worse for the red army all the senior commanders who had a lot of experience were purged by Stalin when he came into power. So the Red army litery had to write the book on military tactics. (Best we ignore the troll, not worth my effort)

I mean the kids of the forum gang run things but I can hide the cookies from them on the top shelf.
But really by the end of the War the USSR and USA were fairly evenly matched.

The USSR did almost lose. It wasn't until later in the war when they became this powerful army you are talking about. I'd say the most powerful army in WW2, (besides the Swiss) is the American army. They were a good all-around fighting force and provided the necessary support to their allies to win the war.

"Stalin acknowledged that the red army was suffering defeat."
"By the second weekend of July the frontline had moved 350-600 km inland from the USSRs western border."
July 28th, 1941- units of the 16th and 20th units (Russian) surrounded near Smolensk
August 1-10, 19416th and 12th armies (Russian) surrounded
Lots of more Russian armies surrounded...
September 8th, 1941- Siege of Leningrad begins.
"During the first months of the war... the red army was in steady retreat."
September 25th, 1941- Red army retreats from Perekop Isthmus
At the end of September 1941, the USSR was finally getting it's act together, but the German army continued to advance.
"By early December, 1941... the now occupied territories had been home to nearly 40% of the countries population."
Russia finally started retaking land in late 1941.
Russia put up a pretty good fight, but they still almost lost.

Im a strong believer that Germany could of won the war if it was not for Hitler's mistakes and ego. He stopped the advance to moscow, which would of defeated USSR and attacked Stalingrad because it had stalin's name in it.

Part of the reason why the Russians won was probably because Hitler took direct command of the Wehrmacht.
