Which was the best army?

England was never alone, the governments in exile of other nations and their surviving naval vessels and troops who escaped the Germans also stood with the UK because they has no real other option, pretty much any nation invaded by Germany that had a coast ended up with part of their military in the UK, something people seem to forget is if the air battle of Britain failed, a German invasion would have faced not only Brits, but a lot of really really angry French and Belgians mixed with token forces of other countries.

Also I need to make a note I am fairly certain a German invasion of the UK would have failed horribly, the German blitz tactics needed tank support, but as the USA found during D-day, tanks don't do well on beaches and the USA had more prep and skill with amphibious landings than the Germans and still failed to get more than a few tanks ashore at D-day, I am pretty sure German forces would have found themselves on the beaches with no little to no armor support while the UK would have its armor on the scene fast, in addition the German navy would be too occupied holding off the British navy to provide an effective amount artillery support to the invasion forces, and while the Germany could call on its air force to launch strikes on the UK defenses its really unlikely they could dislodge determined defenders for long.

Also people note the UK and its allies who fled Dunkirk left a lot weapons and gear behind leaving the UK with regiments lacking weapons, this is correct but during the Battle of Britain they weren't idiots and were logically making/buying more weapons to arm their military, the air battles of Britain were buying them time to due this.

I am pretty sure the Germans would have never succeeded in an invasion of Britain, especially since the USSR had a lot of their army already occupied.

The USSR would've beaten all of them in a one on one, maybe more. Just keep in mind, I am not your brother Pz.

this thread is going from on to off topic and exchange of opinion that no one apparently want to accept other than their own. lets just say every armed forces have their own strength and weakness each and every one and that will be the end of it. no more talk about things other than military capabilities and no flame wars.
