Which was the best army?

Good to all, my name is Jack, today I bring an interesting topic .Which was the best army of the Second World war?

In my opinion the best army of the Second World war was the Army of the USA and the British army, the prowesses realized by the American Army I surprise greatly, but what more I value, is the British resistance opposite to the German Army, the great resistance and dedication that the British soldiers did for a free and democratic Europe,it is for this motive, that in my opinion for me, the best army of the Second World war was the British Army.

And for you, which was is he the best army of the Second World war?

Are you conscious of what you just said? You just said that the murder of 30 million people was justified.
The past is a foreign country.

Quite.

I'd like to see you watch your family get murdered, then get shot yourself. I doubt you'd think it was justified then. The murder of 30 million innocent people will never be justified.

Well, yeah, but a lot were killed because of famines. 5 million died because another 5 million resisted collectivisation of their farms. Those kulaks, as they are called, technically killed 5 million. I hope you aren't including the casualties from WWII either. The kulaks died in Gulags because they were scum(I think anyway) who should've just followed orders from the man they voted into power.

Lol, gulags. It's gulags.

I quote from research carried out "The number of deaths directly attributable to Stalin is around 20 million".

People who died in the gulags, people who were killed for simply opposing him, Jews too, the list goes on.

And the people that went ot the gulags were not the scum of the Earth. Many of them were royalists (or tzarists), and even if they voted Stalin into power, making mistakes is human, but Stalin was a ruthless bastard who listened to the people through the NKVD and collaborists and murdered anyone who dared disagree. Many German soldiers who went to the gulags had not done anything wrong (most of them were not SS) apart from fighting for their country. Read "Krieg ohne Hass" by Erwin Rommel. Great book. War without hate.

The past is a foreign country.

Alright, now I am officially right and anything you say makes you dumber. The gulags were prisons, the kulaks were the farmers sent to those prisons. Geez.

Kulaks are a name for a group of Ukrainians I think Pedro. Gulags are uncle Joe's prisons.

British=best. Duh!

Close. Farmers who owned farms in Russia during the five year plans that resisted collectivisation.

Yes. Their fault though, resistance was futile.

BUt it still doesn't mean the murder of 20-30 million innocent people was justified.

The past is a foreign country.

So 5 mil from gulags doing to people not doing what their leader who they voted for told them to do and about 10-15 mil from famines that were out of Stalin's control and he tried his best to stop(which he did)? Yeah, it isn't fair to to think he is a bad person for that.

He is a bad person for murdering Jews, Poles, Germans, intellectuals, people who disagreed with him, etc.

So are Spaniards bad too for Franko killing people who didn't agree with him? How about your conquistadors who wiped out a few civilisations? The Brits? Americans? French? Portuguese?

Was it moral? No. Was it necessary to consolidate power?

"A knight cannot save the world. They call certain methods of fighting good and others evil, acting as if there were some nobility to the battlefield."
"Honor? Glory? There's no point in speaking to a killer who indulges in such nonsense."
"It's a crime we call victory, paid for by the pain of the defeated"

Ever take a look at The Prince by Machiavelli? The book probably read by every leader in the modern era
