Good to all, my name is Jack, today I bring an interesting topic .Which was the best army of the Second World war?
In my opinion the best army of the Second World war was the Army of the USA and the British army, the prowesses realized by the American Army I surprise greatly, but what more I value, is the British resistance opposite to the German Army, the great resistance and dedication that the British soldiers did for a free and democratic Europe,it is for this motive, that in my opinion for me, the best army of the Second World war was the British Army.
And for you, which was is he the best army of the Second World war?

It amazes me still how some people talk with such conviction about subjects they don't truly understand.
Try looking up Halifax Bomber or Sterling Bomber, both of these were designed and entered service before America even considered entering the war.

No but they could kill lots of infantry men while disembarking which would leave Hitler's tanks empty or full of dead corpses.

The fact the swordfish was so far behind in tech is its greatest strategy, air defences weren't calibrated to be that slow.

I would just like to point out that the Russians are still the best. They are the only country who flew a tank.

You really are stupid. Heard of the IL-2(M) Sturmovik? Had so much armour it could even take hits from AA cannons. If you overlook a countries greatest abilities, you are an idiot.
UK only won because of it's colonies and infinite morale. That doesn't count(joke)!

Ever heard of Hitler? He's the guy that conquered most of Europe. Ever heard of Hitler? He's the guy that bent democracy to his will. Ever heard of Hitler? He is the guy that will forever remind us of just how bad war can get.
Ever. Heard. Of. Hitler?

Ever heard of Hitler? He's the one that caused the death of 50 million peole. Ever heard of Hitler? He's the guy that decided that helping Mussolini against the tiny Greek army was more important than attacking the Soviet Union. Ever heard of Hitler? He's the guy that ordered the murder of Rommel. Ever heard of Hitler? He's the one that killed 11 million Jews. Ever heard of Hitler? He's the one who cancelled Germany's weapons programs after the Fall of France because he was so confident he'd won. Ever heard of Hitler? He's the one that ordered the Luftwaffe to bomb British cities instead of destroying the RAF. Ever heard of Hitler? He's the one that gave the 'no-retreat' order against the Russians, meaning the loss of thousands of good men. Ever heard of Hitler? He's the one that declared war on the USA, whose industrial power caused his defeat. Ever heard of Hitler? He's the one that ordered the attack on Kursk even though he knew the Russians were waiting. Ever heard of Hitler? He's the one that ordered his armies to attack Stalingrad and the Caucasus oil fields, spreading his armies far too thin. Ever heard of Hitler? He's the one that...

It is easy to assume things when your enemy fled in defeat. Twice. I have also said this before.

In revenge for Berlin. The Luftwaffe was Goering's job anyway, blame him.

I take it you haven't heard of his plans to stage a breakout and resupply via aircraft.

In 1940 the RAF hadn't bombed Berlin, and it was Hitler who gave that order.

Germany attacked the SU alone?
Butter Ball Bill wrote:

The USA would've obviously concentrated on Japan. Probably never would've declared war on Hitler. After all, the American public opinion was pro-Hitler. Churchill himself wrote in his memoirs that he slept well that day.

He was planning to attack the Soviet Union since he worte 'Mein Kampf' (1929, I believe). He was over-confident and cancelled the programs. And Britain still resisted.
I could go on.

I think it was more 180k but two front wars are hard. He managed to do a good job slowing them down at Seelow heights and the Bulge would've gone better if the para had been deployed as infantry(they were either shot down or fled).

They didn't counter for years and only could eventually due to the Eastern Front.

Commandos, African and Italian front.

As you pointed out, slowing down. Wouldn't be in full retreat if it wasn't for his order of no-retreat that cost him 180k men.

Aren't we all? He needed the oil so he tried his best to get it but the Russians were too good. Another thing to note is that there was around 1 million Soviet troops at the Stalingrad counter attack.

No. I have read boks about this, and it was certainly not pro-war against germany. Germany was the Brits' problem, Japan was the Americans' problem.

Exactly! And Hitler didn't order his troops to retreat!

Didn't halt it completely, and were still falling back.

Italy and Africa, as well as commando raids, asborbed a great amount of Germany's troops and resources.

Taking heavy casualties. And no need to fall back if you hadn't lost at Stalingrad anyway.
Butter Ball Bill wrote:

Dieppe was a fail. but Operation Chariot wasn't. Nor was Operation Archery. Nor was Operation Claymore. nor was Operation Anklet.
First of all it was a two-front war, since Africa and Italy weren't going at the same time. Western Front and Eastern Front. And he woudl't have had to happen if he hadn't failed in the first place.
A quick story about Hitler's military stupidity:
At one point in the middle of the war the British bomber force was causing big problems for Germany, about a thousand British bombers would fly over Germany and carpet bomb some target almost every night. The Brits bombed at night because they couldnβt replace their losses, so they sacrificed accuracy for safety. The Luftwaffe had a great idea, lone German long range fighters would lurk around British airbases and attack British bombers as they came in to land in the morning light. (The radars of the time couldnβt really track single planes flying at low altitude.) It was very effective and downed a number of irreplaceable British bombers and their crews. If it had continued at the very least the Allies would have been forced to divert significant air power to defend against a small number of Germans, and it might have even severely crippled the British bombing campaign.
So what did Hitler do when he heard about this clever program to defend against the British bomber fleet? Iron crosses all around? Nope, Hitler basically said βNein, nein nein, the Luftwaffe must shoot down the British bombers over Germany, not England, so that the German people can see the wreckage of the British bombers and be encouraged!β Hitler cancelled the program, and the British high command (not to mention the British bomber crews) breathed a big sigh of relief when German planes stopped appearing out of nowhere to shoot them down as they landed.
The past is a foreign country.

I will not fold! A little story about Hitler's genius.
The day before his invasion of the Sudetenland, Hitler had a party. Where he had a chat with everyone. While writing three speeches at once for the Czechs, Germans and the rest of the world. Impressive, right?
