This is a thread meant to discuss people/nations/animals pitted against each other.
First topic, who do you think would win in a war between US and UK vs Russia and China?
Rules for this battle
1. No nukes
2. no other countries can help militarily in anyway
3. They start with current resources, military, economy etc
4. war is won whenever the other side surrenders

Russia would be better off, nuking china, then carrying on with the war, China will just be a drag.
That is just moronic.

UK isnt weak, no. Best marines and special forces around
Point being? As of late, 3 SEALs were killed by two terrorists with a mortar.
Yes, caring out Civilian roles. Their Chief of staff, and all their major generals, are not just picked cos of them being in a commie party.
Yea your right, a waste of nukes, maybe try.. Arrows?
UK isnt weak. Some of the best forces in the world. Chinese forces on the other hand are a bit of a joke..
A standard Infantryman, in the US army wears about 18k$ of high tech gear.
A standard Chinease infantry man, wears about 1500$ worth of gear. With half of that going towards their rifle.
Now that isnt going to change the course of the war, but important to note.

That doesn't matter when you run into a W85 or Type 77 HMG.

Not really. I dont actually think, the Chinease navy, have actually ever been in a naval battle
Hahahaha, don't need to be. US and China aren't at war, but China is still gaining more power. Just read about what they are doing with their artificial islands.
Yes, but Chinese navy have no experience, American navy, best in the world.
China cant even make a flipping Aircraft carrier. Although they did purchase one from Ukraine, and re did it.
But it had to dock shortly after launch, due to suspected engine failure.
Not to mention, as this is set today. America would rule the skies. Not a lot of f-35s around to ensure Chinease air superiority. So America will rule the air. Until the Russians arrive, where it will be a challenge, but America will still come out on top.. if it was today

This means nothing. The Chinese government has the capability to produce it's own gear, so it's naturally going to be cheaper.

Chinese subs keep tracking American carrier groups without being discovered for months. So, yeah.

Lol, gimme the source on that. If anything, Id say the Americans, are letting the Chinese navy, think that
Yea, still about 90 years behind America, and by the time they up and running could be 100 years. Meanwhile America got 20

No one keeps CV in service that long. The US only have 10 super carriers, the rest are helicopter carriers.

I meant, America had carriers almost 100 years ago. China still havent made 1
Actually America only got 11, not 10. As far as I can remember, USS Kitty Hawk, is in reserve.
The rest are heli indeed. However the New USS Ford, is awaiting Commission. Im not 100% on that

Doesn't matter much anyway if Chinese subs will just sink them, eh?

Look, Chinese subs have no problem stalking US ships. That means they'll (the American ships) will be sunk pretty sharpish the South China.

Hahaha, from that link
Still, a carrier is typically escorted by two or three cruisers and destroyers, each armed with a powerful bow-mounted sonar and one, often two anti-submarine helicopters.

the chinease sub, wouldnt have been able to sink the carrier.
And this only reports one incident, so its not like they are tailing every other carrier..

How would you know? The Americans are obviously not very good at finding the Chinese subs.

First off, a sonar that has already failed to detect the subs will not be much good. Second, anti-sub heli's aren't much good if you don't know the subs are there.

But what if some Syrian kid catches one and signs it? Or if they accidentally throw it over to Finland?
