Worst Strategic Moves Made By The Allies During WWII
•
Since polls are the new big thing, I've started a couple polls not unlike this one to see what people think. I did specify, however, during World War II, so appeasement isn't an option or else I would choose it!)
My personal opinion: The Phoney War. The Allies could have stopped Hitler's war machines right then and there, but instead of adapting to the new technology, France and Britain hid behind their fortresses (Maginot Line) in waiting for another World War 1.

"Not anticipating the German Blitz through Belgium" The correct option!
"I came, I saw, I conquered" Written in a report to Rome 47 B.C., after conquering Pharnaces at Zela in Asia Minor in just five days; as quoted in Life of Caesar by Plutarch; reported to have been inscribed on one of the decorated wagons in the Pontic triumph, in Lives of the Twelve Caesars, Julius, by Suetonius. "Alea iacta est" Gaius Julius Caesar.

The Phoney War, the Germans had little to no ammo left after Poland and very few troops were defending from the west.
