Your Favourite Book

I know this topic has been brought up before, but since the community has changed a lot, I decided to redo it. WHat is your favourite book?

The past is a foreign country.

Definitely... umm... I don't know, I like a lot of books. Harry Potter is too overused though, so I won't say that.

Lol, my Spanish PE teacher, who's around 35, reads Harry Potter in English.

The past is a foreign country.

My favourite books are Marianela, written by Pรฉrez Galdรณs, and the very known A tale of two cities, by Charles Dickens. In general, I love literary realism

Cool! Have you read 'Episodios Nacionales' by Benito Pรฉrez Galdรณs?

I read about..., the first three novels of them. I should return to it: in general, I tend to withdraw all my reading campaigns of book series. :P

Hm, i'd have to say Flowers of Evil of Baudelaire, though I also love L'Argent (E. Zola).

The Wind in the Willows is one of my favorites.

I also enjoy Ender's Game, Eternity in their Hearts, Animal Farm, and James Harriet's collection of veterinary accounts (it's a lot more interesting than it sounds).

Yes!

It's so poignant and relevant despite it's few syllables and quick read through.

Yes... First time I read it I had no idea what it was meant for. Then I read it again and saw the true meaning of it.

You guys read 1984?

The past is a foreign country.

My two fav books are, in order from best to worse:

  1. The Company - Robert Littell
  2. Killing Rommel - Steven Pressfield
Those are the only books I read by those authors. But they are the best books I've ever read. I'm currently reading Forsyth, Clancy and Kuzneski.

The past is a foreign country.

Yes, I read the book and watched the film. George Orwell is my dystopian favourite writer. What an exciting novel!

Cool. He's a great author.

No, it's about a future world in which everyone (well, many people) has these computer chips in their head that basically stream the internet into their mind.
