you cant compare the Krupp k5, Su-100y, or the GW E-100 to each other. GW was a SPG with only an 210mm gun the Krupp k5 was a Railway gun weight way more around 2015 tons with a 280mm gun and the Su-100y was a russian anti-tank or TD ( tank Destroyer ) with only a 130mm gun and only weighing around 65 tons

As MrGreen has pointed out though, plans to make it faster and like I said in an ideal situation Germany would be winning so they could work on problems like the King Tiger's issues.

Plus all those towns or defensive emplacements that refused to give in. A gun like this would have worked well on the allie's equivalent of the Siegfried line.

SU-100Y was a siege gun.

The SU-100Y was a Soviet prototype self-propelled gun, developed from the prototype T-100 tank. It was developed during the Winter War with Finland to include a 152 mm gun to destroy concrete defensive structures like bunkers and anti-tank obstacles. It did not see service before the end of the war but was brought into use in the Second World War in defence of Moscow.

You mean the Maginot?

No, the Maginot was obsolete by 1940. I mean a strong static defensive line that was able to hold down masses of tanks and infantry, then this gun would be in it's zone.

The T-100 was made as a seige gun with a 152mm gun the SU-100Y was an Tank destroyer based on the chassis of the T-100

You are wrong.

The T-100 was a twin-turreted Soviet heavy tank prototype, designed in 1938–39 as a possible replacement for the T-35. The T-100 was designed by N. Barykov's OKMO design team at S.M. Kirov Factory No. 185 in Leningrad. The T-100 was conceived with three turrets and eventually built with two. It was in competition with a similar design - the SMK - but neither were adopted and instead a single turret version on the SMK was ordered as the KV-1. All three prototypes were tested at the same time in the Battle of Summa.

i have to ask where in the world are you getting you info from.

did you read what i said based on the chassis of the T-100

and do you realize in that last comment you say nothing about the SU-100Y

you want to see a seige gun

look up the Karl mortar

I know what the Karl mortar is. You said the T-100 was a siege gun. It wasn't. You said the SU-100Y was a tank destroyer. It wasn't. I get my info from Wikipedia and War Thunder. Do you even know what a siege engine? They range from a shovel to a K5.

A siege engine is a device that is designed to break or circumvent city walls and other fortifications in siege warfare. Some have been operated close to the fortifications, while others have been used to attack from a distance. From antiquity, siege engines were constructed largely of wood and tended to use mechanical advantage to fling stones and similar missiles. With the development of gunpowder and improved metallurgical techniques, siege engines became artillery. Collectively, siege engines or artillery together with the necessarytroops and transport vehicles to conduct a siege are referred to as a siege-train.[1]

my mistake the T-100 can be a seige gun but most likely would not be a good one. look on WT wiki it says the Su-100y was a TD. plus we are talking about Seige Guns not seige engines bit a differences

You know that looks at it from a gameplay perspective? This is from Wikipedia.

"...a 152 mm gun to destroy concrete defensive structures like bunkers and anti-tank obstacles."

This is from War Thunder( https://warthunder.com/en/devblog/current/800 ).

Vyacheslav Bulannikov, game-designer.

An SPG based on the experimental T-100 heavy tank. Designed to destroy pillboxes and other fortified structures. The necessity of such vehicles became clear during the Winter War.

An experimental SPG prototype designated SU-100Y was complete by March the 14th, 1940. Because combat operations on the USSR-Finland front had ended, testing the new SPG in combat conditions was impossible. After undergoing tests, the vehicle was sent to the NII BTT testing ground in Kubinka. Further work on this vehicle was stopped.

In the game, this SPG, armed with a powerful 130 mm cannon, can destroy practically any tank. Its downside includes its large dimensions and not particularly strong armour plating.

Aww how cute, the Sturmtiger had a 380mm gun. The shell was so large they had to open the back up and load the shell using a crane:

Also the shell had to be propelled by a rocket when in the air since by conventional methouds the shell was lucky to travel by a few meters.
