On the other end of the spectrum is the "T-40 tahk razvedchik": T-40 reconaissance tank, with 13mm armor and a machine gun, but still considered a tank. At least by the russians.
Your Favourite Tank In WW2
I had created this thread to ask you guys which was your favourite tank during the war. Write it down and decribe it. I know a lot of you know so much about tanks and that is why I wrote this too. My favourite tanks were the Panther, Tiger1, T-34, M4 Sherman, Sherman Firefly and the M24 Chaffee light tank. I cannot decide between all of them, so I narrowed the list down to this much. In the picture there is a M24 Chaffee at the front and at the back you can see the M3 Grant tank.

but 0.075 is less than 0.25.

Attack rapidly, ruthlessly, viciously, without rest, however tired and hungry you may be, the enemy will be more tired, more hungry. Keep punching.

You guys do realize the Char B1 had a horrible gun and was useless against pretty much any tank in WW2.Butter Ball Bill wrote:

Uh, where did you read that? Only reason it did bad was because of French doctrine and the fact that the French army was falling apart faster than a Mosquito bomber in the Pacific theater.Kehsct wrote:

Char B1 was arguably 2nd most powerful tank at the start of ww2, behind the russian KV-1. It had impressive armour and its firepower was good. Its 47mm turreted gun was able to penetrate the German tanks easily during the battle for france and its 75mm hull gun was very powerful. But German tank crews overwhelmed the French armour, using rapid speed to launch surprise attacks leading to french armour being useless.

Don't forget that the French used tanks as infantry support while the Germans used armour as a spearhead.Ellio_98 wrote:

Well, I meant to say that the gun had a bad placement, along with it's armor being worse than one of it's French light tank counterparts.Quasi-duck wrote:

The M3 Lee/Grant had the same gun placement (more or less) and did well enough, but yes, it is a stupid gun. Also, by your logic, the Pz. II is better than the Pz. III and IV as there was on Paz. II variant that had as much armour as the KV-1, which was much more than either the Pz. III and IV.Kehsct wrote:

I'm comparing the AMX 40 and B1.Quasi-duck wrote:
