Aerial Combat

So here is the scenario, I have a Arado Ar 196 A-2 that travels at 460 going after a enemy sub, the enemy launchs 3 Douglas B-18 Bolo speed 360, 1 Seversky p-35 speed 495. It states that they are over 6 minutes till they reach my navel bomber when I am 2 minutes to the bombing zone where the sub is.

3 Douglas B-18 Bolo speed 360

1 Seversky p-35 speed 495

grouped together can only fly at 360

vs.

Arado Ar 196 A-2 speed 460

Technically speaking they should never be able to intercept my Arado, if the enemy sent out only fighters then I can't complain cause they could reach before I get out of their flight zone but with the bombers slowing them down it shouldn't be possible. Just a technical glitch I guess.

Hey, the engine is coded in a way that catching up to a faster aircraft is possible. The travel time can only go down, which means that it depends on the distance of 2 aircraft how fast it can reach it. If the attack command is given when the faster aircraft was 5min away for example, then the slower aircraft needs 5min to attack it. The faster aircraft can only escape if it is outside the attack range of the slower aircraft by the time the attack tick happens (so after those 5min).
