Aircraft carrier weird behavior with aircraft?

There are some bugs about carriers... submit a bug report from the game (bottom right, bug symbol) and with any luck someone at Bytro will look into it tomorrow, before the weekend.

I've had this problem too. It happens to me if I accidentially misses an airstrip when I click, thus clicking on standard land instead.

Be sure to click on an airstrip within range to avoid the aircraft to embark. Once it does that it seems impossible to get it back on the carrier without first reaching land and an airstrip by convoy... Very time consuming.

first move your aircraft to your airfield again

secondly move your carrier away from shallow waters and then try again
