Do aircraft heal when turned into convoy mode assuming they are stood still?

Why? I dont like knackered a/c clogging up an airfield so 'park' them in convoys adjacent ie as trucks. Alternative is to build an airfield as a boneyard until planes are healed.

They shouldn't heal while in convoy form. But they will heal while refueling. Similar thing can be observed with transport ships.
