No, we never know what events will happen, it could be any time. @TheZhukov is trying to study a pattern among them, though.

We have to wait till it comes back, it might take a year for a pattern to materialize

Freezy did state that it was according to how popular the map is...so good chance that it's manually decided and not a pattern, but just to be safe should prolly continue the collection
