Is it an actual team match, or did you decide to be allies after you joined?
you are a balls
I am currently in a game with several active countries. Four of us are allied and our total VPs are over the required amount needed to win. Does a single player need that many VPs in order to end the match, or can the win be shared. If so, is there a maximum 'team size' to resolve victory?

I dont think you met the VP required yet, otherwise the game would have been ended. If this is not a team match, only the top 3 will be rewarded with gold.
It is not a team game. Alliances were formed out of "necessity". :p If there can be only 3, do I have to decide who to abandon?
There can only be three active players for the "Retire" option to be available. For a VP-win-ending one player needs to have the required VPs (found beneath Index of Nations).Dambek wrote:

I have found it to be common for one player to think nukes or sneaky deployment behind the "front lines" will pull them out of 2nd or 3rd (VP) place and give them a VP win. So, it's not a bad idea to be cautious as the game seems to appear to be heading toward a "Retire".
This is a similar question does it make a difference as far as the rewards are concerned, if you win by VP majority or if the last three decide to end the game as is?
Well if you win by VP majority you will get more gold at the end, because the gold payout is dependent on how many VPs you have when the game ends (your gold is your VPs x2)
