Already invaded the country but still at war

I just completely invaded AI Denmark (4 provinces I believe) but still, in Diplomacy we're still at war despite Denmark already having 0 victory points and no province at all. The last province was invaded prior to day change. Is this a bug? Or is there a chance that they still have units at sea? We're just day 5 into the game.

Units at sea disappear once all land provinces are gone.

Check out Greenland. It's well away from all of the other provinces and so is overlooked on occasion.

If not that, then perhaps a bug.

Bored with the same old maps?
Try playing Chess and Go for a few years, it may change your perspective.
