I am not sure. The game's statistics confuse me. But I'm sure it's not as simle as that, because when attacked tanks fight back, so you wouldn't get to 35.
Anti Tank attacking / defending
Quick question for Great Strategists out there:
AT level 1 has
Attacking 3.5 against armor
Defending 7.0 against armor
What that exactly means? (let's forget terrain bonuses)?
If I have 10 AT and am attacked by say 100 Tanks, I have potential to kill 70 of them before dying?
If I have 10 AT and attack say 100 Tanks, I have potential to kill 35 of them before dying?
How does 10 HP of AT comes into play here, against 20 HP of light Tank?

Exactly, that confuses me to
Anybody enlighten us?
It is very awkward to calculate. The AT gun has HP of 10 and the armour class of inf while the LT has HP of 20 and the armour class of tanks.
LT has 2.5 inf attack/defense
AT has 3.5 tank attack and 7 defense
I calculate you could lose all your AT guns and take out maybe 30 tanks? That is a guess with little or no maths involved which might be needed to solve this conundrum.

Devs !!! MANUAL !!!!

It might mean that the AT can defend better againts tanks, then attacking them, that's what the stats say but that's it.
I guess the stat value will switch depending if the unit is under attack or attacking, so if the AT attack it have a value of 3.5 but if under attack 7 againts tanks and the 3.5 value will be drop because the AT is at the "defence", I really don't know.
Maybe it's just how much damage they can take, but it's quite confusing.

Hard to test it all, so it would be nice if some1 from the creators of the math behind is reading this and maybe drop some lines please.

Please take combat efficiency into account, that stack of 100 tanks will have a much lower strength per tank than the AT stack. So in likelihood, in defence the AT stack will gain a large kill tally.
Also, the manual is being written, please be patient

I think I got it right. If not, Czar will know.

Suggestion: I do (did) some publishing / designing stuff before.
Give me parts of manual, I'll do the boring part and put how ever much has been done in coherent chunks, and it will grow as you write it down.
Beta manuals returned to you guys to put it here.
Free of charge. Except maybe some eternal High Command thingy coming my way
What say You?
Give this man a high comman!
A manual can help explain much of the game and can be very helpful, helping out can get it out faster.

Definitely! One of the things I noticed about Supremacy was that the initial tutorial was insufficient. Here it's the same.
