Depends on doctrine and what you what. If you want to have strong melee stacks including mot infantry, and are commie or axis doctrine, include it. Allied doctrine and Pan Asian are better with TDβs or Light tanks (though I liked allied Mediums more).
Are medium tanks worth it?
Should i even build them?

If you have the time, read this thread. It'll put things into perspective:

Well, it depends on your situation. If lets say a bunch of Armored Cars or light tanks are spam-capturing your provinces, then build a wall of medium tanks and let the enemy bite the dust. But they are obv prone to attack bombers, even if its just a Hs 123 level 2
Bro i hate the allied doctrine due to following reason:Carking the 6th wrote:

1] they only use american models (no british or canadian models even though they did a whole lot of work)
2] Eg i like to play as new south wales but papua new guinea can spam battleships and kill me due to faster speed and first day battleship research
That point of the allied doctrine. You gotta go slow and steady, canβt attack early on. In the early game your best bet is defense. Even if they get battleships earlier you can build them faster, giving you more over time. Same goes for many units. Make good use of your Air Force too. A good forcΓ© of naval bombers can hand booty to an early game fleet.Nobodyx2 wrote:

Well it would be hard to put multiple countries in one model to be honest. Itβs why we see nothing Chinese, Italian or like Mongolian in their doctrines. How would you pick what goes where? Possibly a way for it but the US is the biggest country and therefore gets it, I guess.
well, if they had more doctrines it would be a bigger mess than the mess which happens now
That is true. Maybe they can change names and what not but in the end itβs never that easyβ¦
agreed
I generally dislike medium tanks once you get past the beginning stages of the game.
Medium tanks are strong all-round attackers for the Comintern and Axis, but are rather weak for Pan-Asian and Allies players. However, I find that tank destroyers beat medium tanks any time, any place and have basically the same price. So if one nation builds a lot of tank destroyers while another builds medium tanks, the tank destroyers will win pretty much every armoured engagement.
But if you use tank destroyers you need to be able to compensate for their lack of damage to unarmoured units. I tend to pair them with armoured cars.
This is true. I use medium tanks for Axis and commie but not on PA. Since they are more versatile I prefer mediums on allied.
