Depending on placing, you will always receive gold if you make it to the end of a game with a single city (unless it’s a winner takes all map) check the news and you should see victory reward pay outs.

Awarded 7200 gold and don't know why
A round ended and I mysteriously received 7200 gold. I was not part of the winning coalition (although I had in fact played rather well), and there was no indication of my completing any specific task or achievement that normally pays gold.
Complete mystery to me. Anyone have any ideas?

Sometimes a second place single can actually receive more gold than a first place coalition because singles get their points added to the payout

I’ve been in both ends of this and it’s always funny. I use either having won or getting more gold as copium for the other lol.jubjub bird wrote:
