Best way to invade l5 fortress

.. so you can see whether the fort can be stormed -- if not, continue to bombarding with artillery, rockets or even with planes if there's not to much AA, before the ground forces advance.

You can sent a plane to patrol overhead and observe the contents. I don’t suggest lingering over the fort long enough to do an attack tick or you will likely do a lot of damage to your plane depending on the contents.

There is a chance spies will work as well.

bombard until there are no troops left is my method, or until the fort is heavily damaged and with a few troops I might rush in for some close combat.

send a intercpetor to patorl the forfitications if you find a weakly defended area place then concentrated on that area to break through if there's is none you could bombard with railgun and artillery only if the opponent doesn't have his own railgun and artillery if he does you could use bombers to the job only if he has weak aa defence and if he both have strong railgun and artillery defence and a good aa defence then the best way to break through is to use rockets
