Building Infrastructure in Conquered Provinces

Hey guys, I'm fairly new at this game, and I was wondering if it's worth it to build infrastructure in taken over provinces that produce resources.

Hi and welcome.

Since conquered provinces only produce at best 25%, compared to the core ones, it is better to focus first in your core ones (that will give you much more profit).

Then proceed with conquered provinces with double resources, or with resources that you need really much (usually food or oil). Remember that infrastructure also provides a morale boost, which spans slowly, so this helps also the production of nearby provinces.

Thanks! Should I only start building once I have L3 infrastructure in my core provinces?

There is no golden rule. Now that you know the pros and the cons, you can decide according to your needs and to your resources.

A good rule of thumb would be to only build infrastructure in core provinces that produce resources. Of those core resource provinces, upgrade infrastructure in your most important resource provinces. For example, if you are running low on food, consider upgrading the infrastructure in your core food provinces.
