Can enemy nations use the local port

If i build a local port in my coastal province, and an enemy of mine tries to disembark on that province, will they also get the benefits of the local port?

No, until they capture the province.

They cannot

Weird, because I know that you can benefit from enemy infrastructure for example… that’s a bit inconsistent in my view.

They don't get benefits, though I'm pretty sure it makes any other enemy armies disembark slower with each upgrade.

It does not, the disembarking time is 4 hours and 30 minutes in enemy land no matter what.

Oh! Good to know

they should make it so that infrastructure and local ports delay enemy units, think about it, roads and railways would almost certainly be blown up and sabotaged in places, and a port would naturally be better defended. At least make it so enemy troops don't get an infrastructure bonus, and they have to capture the province to get the port bonus, as targeting harbours for amphibious assaults was a prevalent strategy.

That would be really cool! I totally would love to see this implemented in the game! Though I don't know how infrastructure would slow enemy units? I mean like maybe there could be a thing like it but for the enemy, like land mines, which slows down the enemy and does slight damage? This could bring in more interesting units too like sappers and engineers.

That wouldn’t make sense, though. You can sabotage your own infrastructure and not have to rebuild it? Would not be nice. Plus, players already have plenty of defensive advantages, they really don’t need more. Especially on coasts, where naval invasions will always fail against a prepared opponent.

VERY good idea!

The sabotages would only have to be minor, although I am for being able to get rid of buildings, with 2 options, 1) Demolish, immediately remove the building at a tiny resource cost, and 2) Deconstruct, takes time but removes the building and gives you 50% of your resources back.

Besides the debonus to travelling on infrastructure, could just represent local sabotage groups and militias targeting infrastructure, minor, but would still make a difference.

At least nullify enemy bonus from infastructure.

I think those minor sabotages are already shown by the -50% lower speed on enemy land. What, you think they don’t have a map of the region or something? Of course not, there would be plenty of maps for every region out there, it’s just that whoever is in control does exactly what you are talking about to slow the enemy down.

Fair enough. But how much off a speed boost does enemy infantry get travelling on level 3 infrastructure?

Half of what you get. 100%.
