Can landed interceptor spot stealth

Hello,

as title suggests. I know patrolling with interceptors will detect stealth units (appropriate level taken into account).

If the interceptor is on the ground, will it see approaching militia? I assume it won't without airstrip, since then it is a convoy.

thx

Exactly like that if it's grounded as a convoy it won't see it

If its on an airstrip, but not flying, it counts as if its patrolling, and therefore will see the militia. If its not on an airstrip it wont.

The fact that it's on an airstrip and not flying but counts as "patrolling" and still see the militia is baffling...so now I can go and construct airstrips (they're really not that expensive) all over and just place a non flying interceptor on every airstrip and there you go, Bob's your uncle, stealth units can be spotted by non flying interceptors...

I think they are able to be engaged by ground units if they are on the ground, so it best to have them actually patrolling

And then you

And then you can better defend your airbase, along with giving them higher levels and fortifications to protect them.

Right, so convoy is basically not interceptor and counts as infantry. interceptor on airstrip counts as patrolling, which I kind knew after my interceptors attack landed planes, they hit back.

then one off-topic question follows: grounded planes count for patrolling in everything or everything except attacking that planes do when patrolling?

They count in terms of stealth discovery, and in defending against nearby aircraft. (Even if the enemy is only passing by)

And what about land units passing within range but not through the city? Or standing near city?
