Cheating Accusations

Yeah, Carriers would not just hold their planes when under attack if anything, the crews would want the planes gone faster, so they are not destroyed on deck and block the rest.

what makes sense? planes attacking when their carrier is under attack? Yes I suppose so, but I don't think you can launch planes when your airfield is under attack. I suppose that makes sense too

true, I didn't think about that, but I will account for it, im going to try to catch his ships while his planes patrol, then I will attack him while his planes refuel

He can just keep his planes patroling and keep dealing damage.

unfortunately, Hes not going to be able to, I caught him after an attack, and it'll take him 30 minutes to refuel, ill have him caught in less time.

so uh, you are all knowledgeable about the game. I just had a glitch that was very costly. I was upgrading 9 submarines...but when they finished upgrading, they disappeared. I can't see them, have no casualty report, etc. a few minutes later my enemy rank 10 destroyers over the position they disappeared at, but nothing happened. It was level 4 destroyers and level 4 subs, so it should have been a fight, but they just vanished. I can't even find them in my army list.

Edit: Even my enemy can't see them, he saw them disappear and turn into an intel report, but when he moved ships to the position they were gone. That shouldn't happen...right?

Several others have reported this behavior, so it seems to be a bug.

well it cost me a naval battle and will get my entire navy sunk, so yeah, very costly bug

Was it a normal upgrade or a skip level upgrade?

Skip level is when you pay for level 3, but level 4 research completes before the upgrade, so you get level 4 subs.

Asking because I lost some units a few days ago, during a skip level upgrade.

I'm curious if this also affects "normal" unit upgrades.

it was a normal upgrade, i researched level 4 subs, and upgraded when they completed, and lost all of them

People have reported that it happened when the unit was clicked/selected around the time when the units finished the upgrade, either before or seconds after... did you do that as well? I can't really imagine how that would matter because this is a server-side thing and the client just displays what happens after central processing, but we have heard that several times now?

I just had a similar bug happen with 12 tac bombers upgrading one level (4 to 5) vanishing when I clicked on them about the time they were going to finish to plot in a patrol for them. I've seen a couple mentions of this bug, usually when upgrading a large (5+) number of units.

This has yet to apply to me, yet i regularly upgrade things, in 3 games i am upgrading things of all levels..

yes, I was micromanaging the subs, and had set them to immediately start force marching in a certain direction to escape a slow coming ship stack. I was setting it to go right before it finished.

Update: the games over, we just won a few minutes ago. They threw a last roll of the dice and invaded multiple island cities in an attempt to remove some of our points, but they were one province too short and we won

well well, how the turn tables. Though I suppose it is going to work out for me. They started as burma, and immediately attacked indochina. Right now theyre pushing both indochina and south china and winning, so im attacking south china from behind so i can artillery spam burmas troops and then take all that newly stolen land. Assuming theyre actually fighting with their original troops and arent golding new ones, because if theyre doing that then it'll be awkward
