Coalition changes - who is in charge?

If you are in a coalition and its leader goes inactive who becomes leader assuming the original leader does not designate one?

Is it the next person who joined?

I’ve never thought about that…

My father once said this: “If you don’t know anything, don’t assume you know and don’t say anything you don’t know is true”
I always got annoyed when he said that, but to be honest he’s kinda right if you think about it

yes thats how it works.

example:

Player A created coalition
Player B joins on day 2
Player C joins on day 3
Player A goes inactive on day 4
Player B becomes the leader
