Presumably, they are catching fish for food, and had a full supply of oil/oilers after the demise of the country?

Units without country live until they are destroyed.

And if you were hostile to the land when it disappeared, then these units remain hostile.

That is for all AI units...

...but also player units without country live on.

And more >> if a player has no more country he is out of the card - but only on paper - if he has units hidden somewhere, he can move them and occupy somewhere new country and then continue playing...

I think, units that have no more estates, should lose morale, quasi in the reverse manner as in healing. Day after day a little until they are destroyed.

Then they can cause trouble only a limited time...

And in that time you could still hunt them if you want...

I understand that but they should operate on the same principal as all units no food no oil no replacements they suffer until they cannot operate anymore it happens with player units should happen with the computer

I lost all my provinces but was able to fight on. If you can capture a province, you then generate money to buy food. If you can take a food province, you can last even longer.
