What does this first number mean? Which resource did I loot? It's not easy to tell as there is no icon.

Yes, check the province to see the resource it makes.

Interesting… probably what it WOULD give IF it made resources, but it doesn’t and nothing happens.

just a visual glitch. technically provinces without resources produce a resource called "no production" and that is what is showing in your image. it is worth nothing
