Core vs non core provences
How do you change non-core provinces into core provinces?

Core provinces are the provinces you start with in your country. Non-core provinces are all others and both remain that way throughout game. Non-core production penalty is used to indicate the resistance of the conquered people to the occupiers.

You can upgrade non core provinces to be pretty decent. I have a couple maxed out, production over 3000+ depending on the provinces.

Accualy I also go by SQUID. I have an alliance vis the messege system with another player. He was attacked so I counter attacked and re took some of his his lost provences. How do I give these back to my friend?

cede them or just let him capture them through war, and go back to peace

After day 4, you can give him one a day. Go into diplomacy>messages>new trade>click 'relation' box>choose provinces>trade for what you want(resources, money, diplomatic relationship, another province).I believe you can only do this four times a game, so use wisely.
