I plan to attack somebody. They have a small air force, which will be annoying, because most of my planes are still patrolling in my cores, far out of effective range. To counter this, I want to try using cruisers. The question I wanted to ask is, if hypothetically some of the enemy bombers flew over my cruisers, could I attack them with my ships? Or would they just bypass the ships like nothing happened?
No you cant attack them in mid air. Cruisers can shore bombard like battleships, and they provide air cover against attacking enemy airplanes. ( defence: if the enemy attacks them directly, or patrolling enemy cover the red spot where your cruiser unit is )
