Cruisers as AA

Hi everyone,

AA now has a range around it where it can shoot, like artillery.

Is the same true for the cruiser?

I ask because i dont see the purple circle around it.

Thanks

AA cannot shoot like artillery to be clear, it is increasing the range of how faraway it can attack planes, and cruisers are like mini-battleships as they can bombard enemy units, but they are more suited as an AA unit.

That didnt answer the question, so i will try to reformulate it.

Do cruisers behave like land AA and have a ranged attack against planes now?

No

They really should though to keep the consistency. Could then send subs in and not worry about a nuclear attack to spoil the battle. If you do one you gotta do the other I think.

All surface warships should have AA ranges similar to the new anti-air artillery.

It is also absurd that battleships have such poor AA. In reality, WWII BBs had full AA

capabilities, from 50 caliber machine guns up to 5 inch 50s.
