Defeated enemies still affecting morale

With an AI, the absence of combat will, over time, auto-peace the two of you (I think it's around 5-7 days...not sure); perhaps, setting "Your Relation" to 'Peace', in the Diplomacy list, can rush it along.

With an active player, I don't know what happens when one loses all Prov. & units. [If anyone reading this didn't archive before it happened, would like to know....]

With an inactive player, I believe the same as "with an AI" above.

I have a game open in which I am still at war with a country I have defeated 20+ days ago. I think it will go away once you defeat all their armies/navy.

Also, if you are still at war with a nation with no territories, it does not seem to count against your morale

I too have noticed how this is no longer affecting me. Perhaps it just was required to wait until a new day for it to update?

If a country still has a unit (usually some ship), its still in the list.

But if it has no area, it doesnt affect morale.
