the "advice" in the morale tab for provinces is frequently in error.
In particular the "rising" label is often wrong.
Can someone give an explanation on how Province Morale, expansion penalty, and Rebellion works in detail?
As far as i know,
1. Province Morale gets updated every day change
2. Prov Morale lower than 35% could spark a rebellion
3. Garrison can reduce the chance of rebellion/suppress it
4. Small garrison who failed to suppress a rebellion are either defected or killed by civilians
5. Distance from capital city could negatively impact prov morale
6. Capturing enemy capital city adds 10% prov morale to all provinces
7. Capitol and Propaganda office can increase prov morale
8. Prov morale impacts production speed
However there are several things i don't understand.
1. How does neighbour provinces negatively impact prov morale?
2. How does expansion and enemy neighbour affect prov morale and how many provinces around it will be affected?
3. What calculations can be made based on numbers appearing in "Morale influence" tab?
why the morale trend rise when morale influence is heavily negative?

4. On some occasion, non-garrisoned province lower than 35% morale has 0% chance of uprising.

5. While others, despite the morale tab saying it has 0% chance of uprising and have propaganda office, they still revolt.

I'm using Gharyan as an example. I was playing as Turkey attacking Libya, an active player who at the time control the entire African territory and half of America in Europe Clash of Nations map. i knew that capturing the capital city would add 10% morale to all of my provinces, so i captured the entire African land from Egypt all the way to Libyan core region before taking Tripoli-his capital city as a morale pill. Since newly captured land always give 25% morale and capital city gives 10% morale bonus, that would make all new captured province have 35% morale. A number which according to other forum posts said to have no successful revolt. So i timed it perfectly with my paratroopers from Valetta island to capture Tripoli 10 minutes before daychange. It worked, all captured provs has 35% morale and no province revolted. Except Gharyan. This mildly infuriating as it made a hole inside my territory. But i leave it alone so i can post it here.

I hope someone can make a detailed explanation or correct any wrong informations in "as far as i know" section.
Anyways, thank you for reading this and have a good day
Note : Gharyan is Libyan core region, does that affect the revolt in some way?

Most imPortant thing about province moral is that all provinces try to get to 100. So if yo check your province you can see where moral will end. Just add/ substract the bonus/malus.
Question no.3, can you answer it?Ivan Bukovec wrote:

Yes, army points reduce rebelion chance.
There currently is a visual error with the chance of uprising.
This should be fixed on the next update.
Province morale gravitates towards 102, while rising for roughly 14% of the missing morale. When reaching 100 morale it stops though.
If you have negative morale influences, subtract them from 102. If you have positive influences, add them.

The only bug that we are aware of in that tab is the missing uprising chance as was mentioned above, which will get fixed in the next update. Besides that the info presented there should be correct.cycle9 wrote:
