Playing vs. a hostile with Level 5 Battleships on day 30; how can that be? My research shows them avail
able from day 32.

Folks, battleships level 5 are available to certain nations before day 32 on the blitzkrieg map.
The past is a foreign country.

He did not share whether or not it was a Blitzkrieg map. We can not be sure that is the reason, though it seems logical
