Basically I'm asking if the values of similar units are different. For example, units of the same age, a Bf109 and a Spitfire would have different attack and defense #'s. Or think of it another way, the USA had superior carriers than the Japanese, would that be reflected in the game?
Two things. One, the Spit isn't even in game and we don't even have CV yet.
To your original question, no. There is no difference.
Units of the same level and type have the same stats for balancing.
The examples were a historical reference, not a game reference, as I am quite aware of the lack of Carriers.
