yeah you can attack them. the do not defend at all. Destroyers can not attack anything on the ground, only on the ocean.
Anything else will seriously cripple a landing force
What are the Game rules about disembarking convoys, I recall not being able to cause damage to them as per game rule. A message would flash up to say, you can attack but you wont cause any damage. However the last 2 games i have seen convoys getting destroyed while in the disembarking mode, from enemy tank units. i have even seen 2 patrolling fighter planes cause 80% damage to a disembarking convoys of a few tanks.I would like this area to be looked at with maybe a simple rule that disembarking convoys have higher anti air defences, but a 25% lower defence against ground units

according to the unit cards, on CoW, destroyers cannot damage infantry, armor or buildings:
They can attack land targets. However, that attack will do 0 damage.
Messages advising that you can attack will do no damage is simply because that attacking unit can not inflict damage on that type of troop. Otherwise you can attack a disembarking unit and it will receive damage.
There should be some defenses, maybe -50% but there should not be an all out slaughter.
why not? in reality it was an all out slaughter too, in ww1 and ww2, both Ddays in both wars it was a slaughterhouse. What made them ultimately possible to break trough and land where shear numbers with air and naval support, and lots of it. And even today, realistically without considering using nukes or rockets, it would still be like that.
It took over 50 bombruns to yamato.. it took over 150 bomerruns to sink yamatos sistership.. so in that regard it is unrealistic, but even in this game to take out a stack of 8destoyers, a few cuisers/battleships with tacs, you will need lots of tacs.. so its actually not all that far off bro..
I am having problems disembarking my convoys?? can someone explain or is their a video
Just tell them to move to a point on land.tonypol09 wrote:

Now if you have subs or naval units mixed with your convoys, you will have to use the split command and separate the troops capable of going on land from those that are not capable of leaving the water, and then give the land based units a move order.
no , iam against this
