Early Attack Question

Thanks I Patton, in kinda of a strategy way, I'm thinking to ensure you have an AI opponent next to you in larger user player involed games, attack a playable nation right away. And because I've never started a game with less territory than I'm suppose to. I think playable nations become unchooseable when "at war" in country selection or random games. So instead of starting against weaker nations first, and building a base up slowly, like I usually do. I should start by attacking early a playable nation.

While I prefer a large active player roster in a round, there are times when I, too, will want to knock-out a nearby playable country. It's usually when I feel that country could significantly hinder my efforts (ie. Communist Russia & Russian Empire).

For what its worth on a recent game as the SUS seeing an AI in control of the Northern US I attacked imediately (settling an old score ) and to my surprise one day later somebody took that slot, too late to stop me but I thought that was kinda silly getting a country already losing badly, oh well.

No, if a nation is being attacked by another nation, it is not converted to AI. I logged into a match once and I was Spain– I was getting invaded by the USA and France.

Well, then the USA and France went to war with each other. Canada and the UK came in and avenged me, I guess. So it's kinda okay...

I joined when Ukraine(me) was almost conquered. I was able to enlist the help of other nations to give me land and I made it until the end.

Kinda late, but one time I played as Turkey and Greater Romania and Ukraine invaded me at the same time (outnumbering me 9 to 1). I had a colony in Africa and at the end of the match, I still had two provinces– Tobruk and Ras Gharib. I got 16 gold, LOL, since both Ukraine and Greater Romania went inactive and the only people left were Communist Russia and I.

Yes, it is possible that you are assigned or choose a country which lost already a province.

It happend to my enemy twice. I was playing Kaukasus and was attacking Ukraine, when suddenly it was choosen by a human player. Even with Gold he lost against myself.
