Hmm, did you declare war first or just rush in unexpected?

Well as Communist Russia I started out attacking the Baltic Countries, Estonia first then Latvia and Lithuania. I never declared war I just attacked. Then I moved on too Poland. While attacking Poland the Ukraine then Cossack Republic declared war on me. Then my opponent came from Germany and attacked me through Poland. He conquered a province along the Baltic sea and then I assume left no force behind after conquering so Sweden staged an uprising overtook the province and was at war with me. Then Finland ganged up on me. Lastly now Crimea and Karelia have joined in on the dog pile. Meanwhile my opponent doesn't appear too be attacked by any of his neighbors.

You should declare war on them first and then attack. You get some sort of morale penalty for just attacking randomly I believe.

OK thank you I'll give that a try, that seems too make sense.

It will be too late for the country you invaded of course. But for the future that would be a good idea.

That's what I heard so far about it. Im not 100% sure about it. I'll ask around.

If you read the newspaper it will say that when you rush into war nations around the world are appalled by this action(then usually embargo you). This can lead to war as well.

If you are wondering why the Elite AI always kicks your butt, this is because you are attacking the other nation with actually declaring war. Doing this will decrease your moral points. The Elite AI can only see this. If an AI or another player declares war on you, ANY other AI nation has a VERY high chance of declaring war on you too. Example: If you are playing as Russia and you attack Finland, Latvia, Romania, etc. before you actually declare war on them, and someone playing as Germany declares war on you after all of that, any AI nation has a chance of joining Germany in the war against you. This is kind of like a "Coalition War.'
