fighter vs fighter

i just had a battle in which i had 18 lvl 3 fighter attack 12 lvl 2 fighters..

enemy 12 fighter at 92% vs my 18 at 97%

end result

enemy 9at99% my 15at 95%

the end result i lost 321pts while he lost 213 pts..this does not make any sense..i would assume better planes & superior numbers & i would carry the field..can someone explain this???

In this game there is a mechanic called State based damage efficiency. This reduces damage output if a unit is either wounded/lower morale or if they are stacked with too many other units of the same type (they get in the way of one another). This means that your 18 fighters were not as efficient as his 12 fighters and why you lost the fight.

Before argument sets in, this is why the "Big Wing" tactic was not used during the Battle of Britain aside from that one time, friendly pilots were as dangerous to each other as the enemy.

if u add some tacs to the stack , u will notice that u actualy can't attack them , cuz they will destroy ya , no matter how u will menage ur own stack
