Just that you cannot see the damage done. It might also be the X factor or there is that time thing of when to attack, they only attack when the time is reached.Zippofish wrote:

Fire control
Anyone else having issues with artillery not firing at units in range even though fire control is set so they should? Also, the last few days it seems that artillery will not always follow the command to attack when the target unit is covered by the fog of war.

I agree with Ryan04px2025 regarding "that time thing of when to attack". It can take several minutes until the artilery opens fire. However, if you noticed that it took longer than several minutes let us know.
After a few times of attacking, the time will increase right?Arcorian wrote:

Not as a rule... the time between attacks can vary in general, but it doesn't in general take longer over time.Ryan04px2025 wrote:

Is there a specific time? Or is it coded to be random?
once your attack started, the next attack always occurs after 60min in the CoW base game. It is 30min in the 1.5 games and in speed maps it also varies.
I guess I can explain the βattack orderβ a bit better. When you target a unit that is out of range of the enemy, the artillery is supposed to travel to a point where it is in range and start firing. It doesnβt happen all the time, but, the artillery wonβt even start to move when the command is given. I have to manually move the artillery within range and then Command it to attack before it will start firing.
the other issue, has happened several times where a unit I am at war with will make it all the way through the range of artillery and attack it directly without the artillery ever firing. Fire control is set to fire at will, my stationary artillery should start firing as soon as the enemy unit is in range... which it does not.
These scenarios only happen when the enemy unit is under the fog of war, where you can see that there is a unit but the enemy unit is still of unknown size and composition.
So how do you know wether you did damage to it? They can loose one division without you knowing and still have troops in the unit
Because my artillery isnβt even firing. I watched as a single infantry unit appeared out of the fog of war and marched all the way to my artillery and attacked it directly. When it come out of the fog, where you can see what type and how many units the enemy is, a stack of 8 artillery can destroy one infantry long before it ever reaches my units. If it were once I may say X factor, but itβs happening a bit more than the X factor should allow. The unit was 100% when it hit my artillery and I watched the battle as the infantry health decreased. Itβs not an issue of damage, itβs an issue of the artillery not firing.
You can send a support ticket to the game operators
There is some other issues, one of which the staff said they couldnβt recreate. I was asking here because I was wondering if I just need to delete the app and re-download it. I felt like this wouldβve been an issue brought up by other players pretty quick.
Like right now, the app wonβt even load
Soundtrack update. Same here.Zippofish wrote:

yeah I just figured that out too. I touch the load screen and the sound starts but not the game... not working in the browser either
Do these fire control "issues" only occur with High Command?
As far as I am aware, fire control is only available for high command.
Units not following orders sounds like your orders are not reaching the server to me. Check your connection and see if other orders are followed at that time. Mobile doesnβt have any connection indicator like desktop, So about the only thing you can do is reload and see if it behaves properly.
