Forced March

Hello Gents.

When to Force March? How long do the effects of forced marching last? Is there really any consequence to force marching artillery if you expect them to join a stack of infantry and engage at distance? Thanks in advance.

the only situation i use forced march is when me and another player (who is normally kind of an ally but not too trusted) are racing to capture a province first and the other player is going to capture it first but if I force march I will get it first. i just dont like to damage my units unecessarily. Up to you if you want to force march your artillery, it may cause them to lose in an artillery 1v1 or to a tac bomber. personally, i wouldnt do it, but if you dont expect the artillery to ever take damage, go for it.

Thank you. I relooked it. In my head, it was a penalty to damage output not an immediate damage to the unit. I agree with your thoughts.

The forced march increases the troop's speed by 50%. But the unit suffers a life penalty (HP) of 5% per hour. It is not interesting to use without being in combat. Only when your enemy is online and you need to flee or move forward to eliminate his unit.

if the movement takes only lets say 30mins will it still lose hp or not.

It depends on how long you force march it, so for example 30 mins would be 2.5%.
