Is their no longer free selection for the 100 player maps? It seems like their is only random selection?

Most of the world maps aren't filling up. Also there is an increase of inactive players in the world maps compared to before when it was free selection. People are joining multiple worlds maps to see which nation they get and if they don't like it they go inactive. For Call Of War not having free selection it's going to decrease the gold being bought in the world maps due to the fact that there are more inactives and since they can easily get more resources by taking these inactives there wont be a need to buy gold.
This and the other points raised by forum users are all valued contribution.Rage wrote:

The same thing was/will occurring at the nation selection stage, the aim for the 100 map [and all new maps] is to try to make all the playable nations balanced and enjoyable. and the map full
Id be interested to hear if any of the nations are a problem to play with econ balance that needs more work / adjustment.
are there specific nations that put people off? [considered a 'bad roll']
We have many established maps that users can create and indeed enable nation select for all of them if they prefer to choose
cos we cant pick what country we play asRage wrote:

main reason people going inactive in random games
cos they get a country they dont wanna play as..

The biggest problem is the high amount of 100-player maps becoming available every day. On the dutch servers they only fill up for like 25% average. It's not really a 100-playermap anymore.Field Marshal Dan wrote:

Being able to freely select your nation or not is for me personally not such a big matter... I can understand that some players would really like to select their nation. Maybe make free nation selection in a map an available option for high command or cost like 5000 gold?
I think morale should be looked over. The max distance to capital of -39 is reached too fast. Or make it possible to build a sertain building (ambassy or whatever. Make it damn expensive for balance.) in every part of the world to increase morale for all provinces in that part of the world a little bit (a +5 would already be nice). Also morale loss because of enemies is bugged. It seems to cap at -25, but it doesn't, it just adds up. I have 9 enemies on a map and morale stabilizes 20 points lower than what is calculated in all of my provinces.
Eco balance isn't only achieved by raising food or oil or whatever for every nation. It's achieved by a mathematical (everything in this game resolves around numbers) balance between income and expenses. You pumped a lot of extra food into this game with last balance change of the 100-player world map. It does make it more balanced for every nation, but it would be better if the food expenses between civillians and military was more evenly devided. That means decreasing upkeep of one and increasing upkeep of the other one. It will increase balance on every map you've created and plan on making.
On the 22-playermap there should definately be taken a look at Canada. With 1 food province in it's core it will start with a negative food production from day one. Conquering Europe will stretch your empire and distance to capital will kick in, add up wars and you might have some morale trouble. You have only a few thousend food for your army if you upgrade every core and non-core food province the bets you can. UkraΓ―ne will have like 20k food for it's army.
A "bad roll". What is a "bad roll"? Off course there are nations you might not like to play, but lets not include those. I think a bad roll are nations that are going to have a lot of trouble with distance to the capital and are vulnerable to sea attacks. For example Papua New Guinea. Some players may just decided to go oversea and do some landings and gone is your core. But this is due to it's geographic location and game mecanics, you can't change all. There will always be plenty of nations that will require more luck and effort to win with.

just one thing
they had been doing free selection, and the maps filled up more then, now people chose random, and get stuck with a country that they dont want

Anyone have news on whether or not they are bringing back free selection. I noticed they had one but only for a staff test map. Good news maybe?
It's a drama with the 100 players world map! If we have free selection, we have a lot of multi account players and "wolfpacking" on each map. But if we have a no free selection map, we have a lot of players that going inactive, because they getting a start position they don't like.
I think the only way to handle this problem, is to leave it in the way it is now and open sometimes, a "special world map" by the support team, with 5K gold as enter fee. (If you want it, you have to pay for it!)
So if you pleased with this conditions, go to "find co-players" here in the forum and sign-up for the >Elite World
If we have enough players (40+) I start these round on Friday the 22th.
Im sorry, but thats not right, free selection no bother
you can still have multi accounts on random, and they can still funnel res around
there is no prob with free selection, nor an advantage to random select

I would be also glad to see selection back. Until now i play/ed games in USA, Oceania and asia. And it's really boring open new game and start as same nation like before or in same region. I want to try Europe, or South America. For me, It's not just about picking of nation i like it's also about place where i am. I dont want to use similiar way of playing in same region.
Also i'm not going to try every new 100players game. I dont need to have mess in game list.
If you looking for a free selection Wold Map click here: >Elite World

You need 5.000 Gold as enter fee or be a part of the High Command)<-I'm sorry. I'm not going to pay for country selection. It's also somehow ridicilous force me to buy gold but only for purpose of entering the game which has rule "NO using of gold".
No one needs to play with us this game. If you want to play the world map with free country selection, you have here the chance to do it!
Yes you have to spend some bucks for a enter this gold free round but remember this game will be running for weeks with a lot of strategy and tactics, for less money than one to visit one time a movie at the cinema. The developer of these game, needs so money to improve this game and to buy some coke & donuts.
to be honest thats no solution
there is no benfit at all of removing the free selection
stupid and ill though decision
Im very disappointed

Agreed. They need to reinstate free selection on the non gold maps. I like the no gold use in game if you pay upfront thingy though. Maybe gold maps could also get first divs at testing new units or something instead of having exclusive free selectionoceanhawk wrote:

I joined a gold-free game with free selection. Everything is fine.
