He could have had a lot of it held up in market buys.

From 200k to 2.5 million in one day
So how is that a player who had 200k money yesterday now has 2.5million in cash today? I know for a fact that he did not get it from his allies as all told they combined had less than 40K. Is this a cheat?

In this case the market is almost devoyed of any trades

It's just a common way to store cash. Normally the price is far from the current range so it doesn't show up in the Top Offers.

Another possibility is taking an enemy capital, they can yield HUGE cash.

Or he could Gold cash but I don't see what good it would do. My money is that he got it from killing capital(s).
