Game Changes

Any big changes since I stopped playing (maybe early ‘22)? I’m thinking of joining a game or two

There probably have been some subtle changes over the last year and a half.

1. With the ads for gold and booster cards, that's really had an effect on gold/card use during games. It's much more common now to see players using them.

2. Battleships have been improved several times and cruisers have been made more expensive so cruisers are no longer as dominant as they once were at sea. But with more players opting for battleships over cruisers, that's really made naval bombers value increase.

3. Paratroopers have had their mobilization times reduced several times so they may actually be playable now compared to when you played last.

That's all I can think of for now.

Yea the rest of the balancing changes are pretty minor. Infantry research was greatly accelerated so might be a feasible unit now. Mot inf too. Heavy tanks got an HP buff, ATs got a corresponding damage buff. Light tanks are faster than ACs now. SPAA is faster than it was. Small buffs to tacs and attack bombers. Maybe some others.

Game mechanics, maybe when you were last playing units would attack back unless stationed at a province center. That "bug" (not actually a bug) was fixed and stationary units will only defend unless ordered to attack, regardless of where they are.

Okay, here's one more. Refueling planes and planes in convoy form are now unarmored armor class instead of light armor. That makes defending your refueling planes from enemy tac bombers even more important now. It also makes ACs ideal for taking provinces with enemy air strips instead of LTs.

Pan Asian is always a strong doctrine. But yeah, with some of the changes they've made recently, they probably have gotten a little better.

If I remember correctly, the latest rebalance attempted to enhance allies and commies. There were a few rebalances before that. Nothing major, as other have said, just a few minor adjustments. Be sure to look over the unit stats again.

They were going to make RRG’s even more powerful by making it so you only need a lv3 SL to max production speed! Thankfully they retracted it. Would not have been nice…
