Game won't let me take a province

So I'm currently at war with another nation. There's a third player who has RoW with both of us, and some of their troops are stationed in my enemy's province. My enemy doesn't have any of their troops stationed there, but whenever I try to take it the game just doesn't let me. I don't know if it's because of the third nation's presence, but I can place my troops there and nothing will happen. Is this a bug, and/or is there a way around it (preferably without declaring war with the other nation)?

Which day is your game on?

It was a good era as a Republic we landed. But then the Russian's land was narrow for him. Ai-ui-ai-jaa, ti-ral-lal-laa, but then, the Russian's land was too narrow for him. IF there is another nations troops on the province, you cannot take it. You will either have to declare war on the person who has the unit in that provicnce, tell them to move the unit, or not take the province.

Have you moved your units to the center?

see that's kinda dumb. you would think that since I have RoW with them then it wouldn't be an issue. whatever, I'll tell them to move it or I'll declare war

It's not a bug, it's exactly what has been wanted by some players again and again for a long time ..

.. now it's here and confirming again: Please think carefully about your whishes,

whether you really want to have opened Pandora's box..

Hello... surprise attacks on RoW enemies work. Also, it should switch to the 3rd party/nation's side.

I convinced them to move (probably because my army is way bigger than theirs), but it's a stupid feature. I shouldn't have to convince a mutual ally to get involved in our war. if they have RoW with both of us, doesn't that mean they're impartial? and if they're impartial then they shouldn't be preventing me from taking the province. it just adds an unnecessary level of complexity that doesn't even make sense

And if your ally allows the enemy to capture a province of yours under their nose, does that make sense? No. So this is the better way.

You don't need to explain it to me for that's exactly what I expressed in my post -- before it was remodeled due to "improvement requests" from some players, such constellations were easier to handle. That's why I wrote .. see post 8
