Try going to the province west or east of him, then drive to that city. That way, you may not face as much opposition.
Getting past landing defense
So, is there any way to get past this kind of defense?

I had 53 units landing on shore and he managed to kill 9 with just one light tank within a few hours. Meanwhile he got 5 tanks and I gave up landing. Is there anyway to get past this ridiculously easy kind of defense?

Well, for one, don't use DD as landing support. They do no damage to land units. Use planes, CV, BB and CC.
Even railroad guns if you're close enough. Most maps have the landing sites close enough to land.Quasi-duck wrote:

Attack rapidly, ruthlessly, viciously, without rest, however tired and hungry you may be, the enemy will be more tired, more hungry. Keep punching.

Well, you still have the six hours to embark/disembark and that means the enemy can hammer your forces with arty too so it is a two way street.Kehsct wrote:

True. That's why air power exists. You just gotta use it.Quasi-duck wrote:

pounding the enemy in heavy ordinance from a distance works, using battleships, cruisers and tac bombers.
but if that dosent work then i suggest do some manouvering to other langing sites that are more easily secured.
