Has anybody seen AI's go to war with each other

Is it at all possible that AI's could war with each other? has anybody witnessed it?

Game I am playing, All the players in Australia and NZ are AI and have been since day 2 of the game. They are still in pristine condition. We are now on day 41. NZ, NSW, Western Oz and Queensland appear to be very strong, I keep reading in the news they are turning out Battleships quite regularly and infrastructure is advanced from what i can see. Central Oz and Tasmania due to their limited natural resources and size are starting to struggle. Both have had revolts in the last few days that have been quashed, but morale in the northern provinces of central oz has dropped to 37% and still falling. Will these provinces eventually fall to one of the other Oz AI players, or can a revolt only go to an active human player? There aren't any human players close by, closest would be South India.

When I say revolted, I mean Central Oz appears to be out of certain resources to sustain itself and so there is a daily damage to buildings being reported, which is affecting its morale. As I say, down to 37% in the provinces furthest from its capital Adelaide.

A province can revolt to another AI. Essentially to anyone they think is better.

Correct. I have not only witnessed this happening, but I have intentionally facilitated it by using various means to reduce the morale in strategically important provinces. By getting a strategically important province to flip from one AI country to another, it is often possible to significantly weaken the first AI country by creating a resource shortage.

And the same strategy can also be used against human players.
