Stupid unit or not with historical examples of success or not, I am thinking it's not a bad idea to open up the range of strats available to us. I read an article once, likely written by a lunatic, that the Germans in WWII were also experimenting with jet packs! Also, in the table top Warhammer40K {tm} game there is a Stormboys unit which is awesome.
