How can you protect an amphibious assault? (Do land and navy units stack?)

Amphibious assaults were easy in Supremacy 1914, because battleships could blast land defences into rubble. This is not so in CoW, where hostile submarines can devastate convoys of land units before you can even detect that they are lurking.

Can you protect convoys by stacking land and naval units?

How else can you protect your convoys once they pass out of range of your naval bombers?

Any other tips for launching my first amphibious assault across the Atlantic in CoW?

Thanks in advance.

Do it just like in S1914, except have your fleet guard your convoys en-route.

Mess with the Bill, you get the scorn!

The easiest and only way is to stack your convoys with Destroyers, that way the convoy can survive and even destroy subs but expect to get some cuts and bruises.

Also use your Cruisers, Battleships also escorted with destroyers to destroy enemy fleets to clear the way for the convoys not too far behind them, it will take a lot of practice so try and take it slow.

first of all Iguess you should have an Idea on what the ennemy is prepering one the shores, also having some Battle Ships and destroyers will stop any threth from the sea, think about landing one a lightly defended shore were the ennemy may even not have visual one you

hope this helps you
