I am a one man alliance, as I see many other folks are, and am wondering how do I set up a game so that it is ranked as an alliance game? I'd like to start adding wins and losses to my alliance. Can I do this as a one man alliance? Exactly how do I go about setting up a game that falls under that category?

Wins or losses are added to your alliance stats once an alliance match (challenge) is finished.
About a one man alliance - You can select the number of players in the game, and change it to two if you wish - two is the minimum. You can find this feature right under Team Settings, when creating a game.
