How do booster cards work?

I like this update, but how do they work? I don't really get it when you activate them. I'm not planning on activating them until I 100% know how they work, for example, how long does it last? What are the advantages and disadvantages of this update? Thanks for answering if you do. If not, I understand.

My father once said this: “If you don’t know anything, don’t assume you know and don’t say anything you don’t know is true”
I always got annoyed when he said that, but to be honest he’s kinda right if you think about it

Exactly how long they say, they do exactly what they say they do, and buy them or you watch ads to get more.

I got 10 boosters from a gift package today ( instead of the usual 100-450 gold )

As a beginner you can also do the tutorial quests - and you could buy booster packs ( but I dont see them anymore maybe it was only the 2 days with the beginners pack )

My guess is they might implement to buy for gold or real money in the future.

You have to be on mobile, wait. Eventually on the left side a gold panel will open up, it lets you watch 7 ads giving boosters and ending with gold.
