How do drop boxes work?

drop boxes? Do you mean these yellow supply drops?

A supply drop may or may not appear close to you, in enemy territory. To obtain that box, all you have to do is capture the province the box is in, and you will gain its contents. This can either be resources (very useful early game) or better yet, Elite Blueprints, which unlock the deadliest level of units in the game.
